On Tuesday, May 12th, I've made my choice. I'm voting for STV Electoral Reform in the referendum because I think elections should be about giving us the governments we chose.

British Columbia has a clear choice between more of the same politics or fair election results in the future. We have a chance to replace the current electoral system with a modern one called BC-STV (single transferable vote)

The current system is designed by politicians for politicians and they answer to their party, not our communities. Under our current system, 39% of the vote can give a political party 100% of the power.

That's not fair.

STV was designed by people like us, for people like us. A group of 160 regular citizens from across BC –the Citizens’ Assembly –spent 11 months of their time studying all the options and talking to British Columbians before recommending BC-STV, based on a more democratic voting system used for over 90 years in Ireland and Australia.
