With so much of the conversation about bc-stv taking place online, in places like Facebook and Twitter, some bloggers have asked how they can show their support.

The energetic online team at BC-STV have come up with some great solutions - namely banners and badges you can embed on your site to show that you are voting for BC-STV on May 12th.

There's an unofficial contest taking place on the social networking site, Twitter.

The challenge is to use Twitter's "micro-blogging" format to give clear explanation of BC-STV.  140 characters isn't a lot - about one long sentence, or two short ones.  The @ plus a name signifies the identity of a Twitter user, and the #bcstv puts all the tweets on a searchable page in Twitter.

Show Your Support for BC-STV Victory!

Electoral reform supporters will gather Saturday April 18th for 24 Days to Victory - the BC-STV Referendum and Voting Reform in Canada. It's a combination of conference, Annual General Meeting for Fair Vote Canada, and pep rally for the BC-STV campaign.

Above this blog on the stv.ca page, you'll see a couple of buttons, encouraging you to use Facebook, Twitter and YouTube to keep track of the British Columbians for BC-STV campaign. Here's why:

As part of an ongoing public information campaign, British Columbians for BC-STV is announcing an online video contest, launching April 1, 2009. The contest is open to all residents of BC. To enter, simply make a short video (maximum size: 500 Mbyte) that:

• educates the viewer about one or more of BC-STV's core values,
• educates the viewer about one or more technical aspects of BC-STV, or
• is supportive of BC-STV

Across the province, the BC-STV campaign is launching with the theme "Power Up Your Vote." This theme reflects the idea that stronger voters will lead to better government and that electoral reform will result in fairer elections, effective representation and more responsive government.

The Fair Vote Canada annual meeting and conference will be held in Vancouver on Saturday, April 18.
The theme is 24 Days to Victory, marking the number of days until the BC referendum.
